The Rajbhasha Pakhwada (Rajbhasha Fortnight) by Rajbhasha wing of ECoR was recently held at ECoR headquarters here at Rail Sadan.
During the closing ceremony, ECoR general manager Manoj Sharma distributed prizes to the outstanding railway employees who participated in different competitions.
The Rajbhasha Fortnight is being celebrated on the occasion of Hindi Day in accordance to the Official Language Policy of Government of India. The motto of this celebration is to encourage the officers and staff to work in Hindi.
The celebration started with the ‘Special Contact Campaign’ in various departments of ECoR, where Rajbhasha staff briefed the officials and staff about the importance of Hindi Day.

Apart from this, different competitions including essay writing, debate, short story writing and noting and drafting, were being organised in which officers and staff took part.
To mark the occasion, the Rajbhasha wing of ECoR organised a poets meet where renowned poets like Pramod Soni, Kishan Khandelwal and Ram Shankar Kishore Sharma participated and entertained the staff and officers through their poetries.
Senior railway officials including all principal heads of the departments, additional general manager Sharad Kumar Srivastava and Divya Sharma, president, East Coast Railway Womens’ Welfare Organisation were present on the occasion.
Ashutosh Kumar Shukla, deputy chief Rajbhasha officer and Yelleena Panda, Rajbhasha adhikari coordinated the programme.
