East Coast Railway (ECoR) observed its 66th Annual Award ceremony at Railway Auditorium, Bhubaneswar, on Wednesday, adhering to Covid protocols.
Shri Vidya Bhushan, general manager, East Coast Railway was the chief guest on the occasion, also present was Sudhir Kumar, additional general manager.
Addressing the Railwaymen, the general manager complimented their determination and devotion towards their duties with a progressive attitude and for their valuable contribution. He also appealed the Railwaymen to continue in their efforts and make ECoR best zone again in Indian Railways.
Merit awards and shields were handed over to various officers and staff for their outstanding performances.
Khurda Road Division received the Overall Efficiency Shield for overall performance in different fields. Brahmapur Station received the Best Major Clean Station Shield and Handapa Station received the Best minor Clean Station Shield. Various group awards and individual awards were handed over to various meritorious employees and departmental units.
Khurda Road Division bagged Civil Engineering, Operations and Commercial Efficiency Shields. Waltair Division bagged Finance, Best Coaching Depot and Personnel Efficiency Shields. Similarly, Sambalpur Division received Energy Management and Mechanical Efficiency Shields.
Sanjay Mahapatra, senior deputy general manager welcomed the guests and spoke on the importance of this celebration. Additional general manager Sudhir Kumar also addressed the guests. Ashoka Kumar Mishra, deputy general manager offered the vote of thanks.
