In a heartfelt address to the women railway employees, Divya Sharma, president of ECoRWWO, emphasised the importance of recognising one’s hidden strengths and overcoming obstacles to progress towards achieving personal goals and showcasing inherent talents.
Acknowledging the remarkable performances of outstanding women railway employees in their respective fields, Sharma extended felicitations to commend their dedication and excellence. The event was attended by additional general manager of ECoR MK Behera, who hailed women as indispensable warriors across all sectors of railway operations, contributing significantly to the transformation of Indian Railways.
A total of 76 women railway employees were honoured during the event, with 14 individuals recognised by ECoRWWO for their exceptional performance in various domains. Furthermore, 32 women railway employees received accolades from ECoRWWO for their outstanding achievements in diverse competitions. Additionally, 30 women railway employees were commended by the ECoR administration for their exemplary performance in various contests.
The spirit of Women’s Day resonated not only at the headquarters but also at the divisional headquarters in Khurda Road, Waltair, Sambalpur and various significant stations within the ECoR jurisdiction, where celebrations were held, underscoring the invaluable contributions of women in the railway sector and beyond.
