Drunk driver crashes into police booth in Delhi

New Delhi: Police reported an incident where an intoxicated driver crashed his car into an integrated police booth and an electricity pole near Jantar Mantar here on February 1.

According to media reports, constable Ramveer Singh witnessed the reckless driving while on patrol duty on Tolstoy Road. The impact damaged the footpath, caused the electricity pole to collapse, and harmed part of the police booth.

The driver, taken to the hospital, refused a blood test but underwent a breath test. An FIR has been filed under relevant sections of the IPC and the Motor Vehicle Act, with further investigation underway, a senior police officer said.
