In order to reduce “biosecurity risks”, India’s upcoming limited-overs series against West Indies next month will be played in two cities, BCCI has announced on Saturday.
The ODI and T20I series was earlier scheduled to be played across cities including Jaipur, Visakhapatnam, Cuttack and Thiruvananthapuram. But now the ODI series will be played in Ahmedabad and Kolkata will host the T20Is.
“The decision … has been done to mitigate biosecurity risks by cutting down on travel and movement of the teams, match officials, broadcasters, and other stakeholders,” BCCI said in a statement.
The two white-ball series will be played between February 6-20.
