Cuttack-A beat ECORSA to win Kalahandi Cup final

Biplab Samantray scored an unbeaten 109 and powered Cuttack-A to a 82-run victory over ECORSA in the final of the Kalahandi Cup at Ravenshaw Ground on Wednesday.

Opting to field, Cuttack-A restricted ECORSA to 174 with Subham Nayak and Jamala Mohapatra picking three wickets each. For ECORSA, Ankit Yadav scored 94.

In reply, Cuttack-A scored 256 for 6, with Samantray scoring a brilliant century in the two-day format of the senior men’s cricket tournament.

The final was attended by Odisha sports minister Tusharkanti Behera, Ravenshaw University vice-chancellor Prof Sanjay Nayak, OCA president Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, OCA secretary Sanjay Behera and by several other officials and dignitaries.
