Cuttack: Odisha were 92 for 4 at stumps on Day 3, chasing a tough target of 355 runs against Vidarbha in the ongoing Col CK Nayudu Trophy (U23 Men) match at the MGM School of Sports, here. Vidarbha, after gaining a 188-run first-innings lead, consolidated their position to leave Odisha with a steep task on the final day.
Earlier, Vidarbha were bowled out for 316 in their second innings. Abhishek S. Agrawal starred with a superb 134 off 304 balls, while Jagjot scored 54. For Odisha, Ayush K. Barik claimed three wickets, while Soumya R. Lenka took two.
In their second innings, Odisha’s chase began on a shaky note as they lost quick wickets. However, Om T. Munde showed resilience with an unbeaten 50 off 97 balls, holding the innings together alongside Saideep Mohapatra (17). Vidarbha’s Gaurav Farde and Jagjot picked two wickets apiece to keep their side in command.
Odisha, who managed just 128 in their first innings earlier in the match, will need 263 more runs on the final day.
