Book on sustainable agriculture launched

Dignitaries during the launch of the book in Bhubaneswar.

Bhubaneswar: ‘Sustainable Agriculture: Theory and Practices’, a book authored by Bidyadhar Maharana and Prof Subodh Kumar Sahu, was released at a function held here on Sunday.

The book was released by Dr. Aurobinda Behera, former member, Board of Revenue, Government of Odisha, Prof RP Mohanty, former vice-chancellor of
SOA Deemed to be University and Achyut Das, director of Agragamee, Kashipur.

Several scientists and professionals were present at the book launch. Dr Amiya Kumar Behera introduced the authors and briefly spoke about the book containing 12 chapters on theory and practices of sustainable agriculture including alternative, climate resilient and nutrition sensitive
agriculture.

The book will be useful for students, researchers, policy makers and candidates preparing for civil services examinations, he said. PK Paikray proposed the vote of thanks.
