Gurgaon: Blinkit, the instant delivery platform, has introduced a 10-minute ambulance service in select areas of Gurgaon, beginning Thursday. Currently in its pilot phase, the initiative has been rolled out with five ambulances equipped with basic medical equipment.

Albinder Dhindsa, founder and CEO of Blinkit, emphasised that the service prioritises solving a critical problem over profitability. “Profit is not a goal here. We will operate this service at an affordable cost for customers and invest in really solving this critical problem for the long-term,” he was quoted as saying.

According to reports, the company aims to expand the service to all major cities within the next two years. Details regarding potential collaborations with hospitals or the operational model are yet to be disclosed.

Blinkit’s innovative approach marks a significant step in addressing emergency healthcare access, with the promise of rapid response times to critical medical needs.
