BBSR thrash Sambalpur in inter-district women’s T20

Cuttack: BBSR registered a thumping eight-wicket win over Samabalpur in a T20 match of inter district women cricket tournamant played at Bidanasi ground here on Thursday.

Sambalpur were skittled out for paltry 39 in 16.5 overs as Tanwi Swain and Sushree Dibyadarshini picked three and two wickets respectively for BBSR. The target was overhauled by BBSR in 5.2 overs.

In another match played at Ravenshaw ground-2, batting first, Balangir scored 174 for 4 in 20 overs with batters Rasmita Chinhara scoring 75 not out and Madhuri Meheta 43.

In reply, Paradip could manage to reach 49 for 8 in 20 overs as Balangir clinched the match by 125 runs. Rameswari Naik picked four wickets and Sarala Mahanand two scalps.
