Thane: In two separate incidents in Navi Mumbai on Saturday night, members of two families were allegedly assaulted over disputes related to dogs, as reported by an official on Sunday.

In the first case, the Mhatre family and others clashed with a 24-year-old woman and her sister who were feeding stray dogs. Subsequently, the accused invaded the woman’s house, leading to physical confrontations. As reported by PTI, the police registered a case against eight individuals under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

In the second incident, five members of the Perve family engaged in a dispute with a 65-year-old woman over her puppy’s barking. The accused forcibly entered the complainant’s home, verbally abused her family, and physically attacked them. A case was registered in this matter on Sunday, according to an official from the Nerul police station.
