Speaking on the occasion, Sharma informed that East Coast Railway has proved to be a centre of excellence in various fields. The dedicated effort and commitment of ECoR has been recognised at the highest level.
He insisted on fulfillment of the corporate objective of providing modern, reliable, safe and customer-focused services to rail users. He told that safety in train operations has to be kept foremost on ECoR’s agenda.
Sharma also informed that East Coast Railway has loaded freight of more than 200 MT which is highest among all zones, that too in a record period of only 295 days, 15 days earlier than last fiscal year.
Earlier, the chief guest hoisted the national flag and inspected the parade by Railway Protection Force, Bharat Scouts and Guides and Civil Defence. Later a cultural programme was presented with patriotic songs and dance.
