Hyderabad: Air travel from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) is expected to be hit on Thursday, with as many as 33 outbound IndiGo flights likely to be cancelled, airport sources said. Around 35 incoming IndiGo flights may also be cancelled during the day.

On Wednesday, the airline had already cancelled 19 flights from Hyderabad, adding to passenger frustration. Several flyers took to social media to complain about long delays and lack of clarity from the airline. One passenger said they had been stranded at the airport for more than 12 hours while waiting for a Pune flight with “no action taken by IndiGo.” Another traveller described the situation as “total chaos,” alleging repeated delays and no accommodation provided.

In a statement, the RGIA management said the disruptions were due to IndiGo’s technology and operational issues, causing delays and cancellations. The airport clarified that its overall operations remain normal and advised passengers to check directly with IndiGo’s customer service for the latest flight updates.
